Stavroula Kampouridou

Stavroula Kampouridou has been the FinTech advisor, since February 2017, to the Governor of the Bank of Greece (BoG), which is the central bank of Greece and member of the Eurosystem and the Head of the FinTech Innovation Hub. Her focus is on the FinTech initiatives undertaken by the central bank, like the FinTech innovation hub which was introduced in March of 2019 and the overall digital transformation of the bank through the fast procurement of relevant IT projects, like the new website of the bank which was launched in September of 2019.
Her main interests include Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain), cryptocurrencies & stablecoins, Open APIs, AI/ML, digital payments, and how these can digitally transform the business model of banks.

Before joining BoG she was an IT procurement unit manager and hardware systems sales manager in the private sector.

She holds a BSc in computer science from the University of Athens with distinction, and an MSc in electrical engineering from Stanford University in California.
